Best of Brit Blog Awards 07

I trust you are all too busy voting for City Slicker in the Best of Brit Blogs 2007 Awards, so I will leave you in peace. And I would give you a spiel about voting for the best blog which doesn't have to be this blog, yada yada yada. But that would be about as sincere as Britney is dry. So please nominate this blog here. Because if I lose, I, too, will stage my comeback from rehab. Just think of your guilt.

Nomination period ends 22 March 2007.

CS, Went to the site to vote, but after getting through the reg process, I only found places to nominate. If that's what we're supposed to do, in which preferred category should we nominate you?

Hi SOB,

Thanks so much. I owe you one. If you were on this side of the Atlantic I would offer to pay you back in pints, but alas.

As for the nomination categories, perhaps Arts & Entertainment? It's tricky, I am not sure what you classify general ramblings about anything. But if forced to choose I think that makes the most sense.

Thanks again!

CS,

Here's my nomination, duly submitted under Arts & Entertainment:

"I nominate City Slicker, my fave daily read. She's writes rhapsodically about anything and everything in arts and beyond. Take this for example: 'Just when the paparazzi thought they couldn't have a better year than 2006, this week brings news of an imminent Royal engagement and a U.S. transfer for Mr. Posh Spice. I see Brand Beckham akin to Brand Clinton: man disgraced, woman embraced. Who knows, maybe it will be Posh for governor of California.' No wonder CS is building up quite a following on both sides of the Atlantic."

Let the voting begin!

SOB -- You do know how to make a mad woman blogger blush!

Off to see Little Shop of Horrors tomorrow night at the lovely and tiny Menier Chocolate Factory before it transfers to the West End. Will bring back memories of the times I have seen it in NYC!

Thanks again for your loyal support!

CS, I've found that Little Shop Of Horrors works best in small theatres. Enjoy! And happy to support whenever I can.

An award is something given to a person or a group of people to recognize excellence in a certain field; a certificate of excellence. Awards are often signified by trophies, titles, certificates, commemorative plaques, medals, badges, pins, or ribbons. An award may carry a monetary prize given to the recipient, for example, the Nobel Prize for contributions to society or the Pulitzer Prize for literary achievements. An award may also simply be a public acknowledgment of excellence, without any tangible token or prize.
